Installation
PAT can be installed in a several ways:
As a MEAP Application (Canon imageRunner Advance is a prerequisite)
Canon imageRunner Advance machines support MEAP application installation and support and therefore you can use a machine you already have in your system to host PAT. So, no need for server, licenses etc. Machine will host it for you.
MEAP application can be installed in 3 ways:
- Via device web interface
- Via device touchscreeen
- Via Canon CDS
As a Windows application
If there is no Canon imageRunner Advance machine in your syste, we got it covered. All we need is a Microsoft Windows operated machine (not necessary a Server edition, but it is recommended) and you will have all the functionality.
As a Linux application
We got you covered here also. PAT can be installed on any Linux system, no matter the distribution, with full functionality.
Appliance (coming soon)
PAT Appliance is a small device you can just plug in into your network and it will do the same job as all other variants
And how about a setup?
Not much to do, setup is nice and easy, and before all – automatic.
Once you start PAT in your system, it will scan through your environment and find printing devices only and import them. Every new device that comes into the system will be automatically discovered and added and you will be notified about it.
